Campaign 2020
In the fall of 2019, Mailchimp came to R/GA looking for help introducing their all new All-in-One Marketing Platform to the world. The challenge was to communicate in-depth product benefits to both marketers and non-marketers while standing out in an increasingly crowded field.

Combining striking, conceptual visuals with bold headlines, we created a quirky campaign that highlighted the power of Mailchimp’s platform while simultaneously making it feel simple and approachable. The work was anchored by a suite of 17 images, one for each product benefit of Mailchimp's platform. For harder to understand concepts (Automations), we created simple metaphorical images (a hand knocking over dominos). For simpler concepts (Websites), we created more literal representations (a website for a hedgehog hat business).

The creative team was nimble, the lion's share of the work was done by myself and Rachel Wright. Together we concepted each image, GIF and video, and as the lead designer, I created the look and feel of the campaign and art directed the full suite of creative assets.

Lights. Hedgehogs. Action! We created four :15 videos for social and YouTube pre-roll. They’re quirky, fun, and get right to the point. To reduce time and complexity, we shot the videos against our photoshoot sets and made sure they were flexible enough to accommodate future messaging updates.
Digital Style Guide
Knowing the final production of the campaign would be executed by multiple different agencies and partners, we created a living digital style guide to ensure all of the pieces were implemented according to our creative vision.
